Abstract

This research has significant scientific elements associated with Sharia sciences, the most important of which are the science of Quranic interpretation and fiqh science, including its branches. This is presented through a jurisprudential book in which the author discusses the Quranic verses and explains their meanings. In this, he relies on the method of interpreters through narration and opinion, then reveals the meaning he perceives in the Quranic text. One of the reasons that led me to choose this topic is its connection to the science of interpretation, which holds honor and prestige, alongside its connection to the legal aspect in the book 'Al-Ihdaah' that is rich in interpretative meanings, thus defining the author's vision within the scientific community among experts and scholars. The subject has its importance derived from its association with knowledge, as on one hand it is closely related to the ranks of knowledge and scholars, and on the other hand it is connected to the Holy Quran and its sciences, and to the science of interpreting the Quranic text and its divine indications and guidance. Additionally, it ties in with the science of fiqh and its various branches that the author of 'Al-Ihdaah' discusses in his book. It also connects with what has been presented by a group of Muslim scholars belonging to the Jabal Nafusa area and its surroundings, confirming their connection to the science of interpretation and their interest in it. The problem of the study lies in the search for interest in interpretation

In the Ibadi school of thought, concerning the Quranic texts in the comprehensive works that cover the branches of religious sciences such as monotheism, jurisprudence, and others, can we find evidence of this in the Ibadi literature? This leads to the following questions: - What is the level of interest in interpretation among the scholars of the Ibadi school? - Is there a connection in the book 'Al-Iidah' between the science of jurisprudence and the science of interpretation? - What methodology did the author of 'Al-Iidah' follow in his interpretive opinions? - Did he rely in his interpretive views on the method of interpretation by narration, by reasoning, or did he combine both? The objectives of this research are the following points: - Highlighting the interpretative interests of the jurists of the Ibadi school. - Demonstrating the connection between the science of interpretation and the science of jurisprudence in a complementary system. - Showing the methodology followed by the author of 'Al-Iidah' from the methods of interpretation in his interpretive opinions. - Highlighting the impact of combining the methods of interpretation in what the scholars of interpretation produce in service of the Quranic text. In this research, I relied on the inductive method and the analytical method among the research methodologies. The research material is presented in an introduction, two main sections, and a conclusion: The introduction includes a definition of Al-Shamakhi and his scientific status, while the first section outlines the method of interpretation by narration according to Al-Shamakhi, along with examples of opinions.

The interpretative approach in this way is from the book 'Al-Iydah', and the second section presents an exposition of the method of interpretation by opinion according to Al-Shamakhy, along with examples of his interpretive views. Then, the conclusion includes the prominent findings reached by the research. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, first and last.
