Abstract

The research deals with the study of a category of Hafsid society, which had a role in the history of the Hafsid state (603-932 AH / 1192-1526 AD), this category is the loyalist, who abounded them sultans of the state, in order to assume military tasks, and thanks to their experience and dedication to work entrusted to them political tasks and obtained the confidence of the Hafsids, and they have a prominent role in leading the army and fleet, and took over the management of the Hafsid cities, and they fought financial corruption, as they stood in the face of opponents of the Sultan, and they had a role in pledging allegiance to the sultans, and caring for their children, Installing and dismissing employees, and holding negligent ones accountable. Of course, all this contributed to the exacerbation of their influence, which led to their tyranny within the state.
