This work aims to explore Arabic rhetorical and rhythmic studies that have examined phonetic issues, highlighting their value in contemporary Arabic poetry. It focuses on the methods of embodying phonetic achievement in the poetry of contemporary Bahraini poet Ali Abdullah Khalifa. The study links the ornamental feature of phonetic structures to their contributions in shaping poetic meaning, aesthetics, and impact, and their role in giving Arabic rhetorical phenomena stylistic dimensions, matured at the phonetic level in this poet’s work.
In this research, we attempted to describe and analyze phonetic phenomena and the resulting significant rhythmic frequencies. We also identified the forms of convergence between rhetorical and rhythmic features in the poetry of Ali Abdullah Khalifa, starting from the mechanism of consonant and vowel sounds and their laboratory execution techniques.
Phonetic Ornamentation: This includes the balance between similar sounds in weight and morphology, enhancing the text’s aesthetics and increasing its impact on the audience.
Repetition: This relies on various types (repetition of letters, words, sentences) to highlight a particular idea or to add a musical rhythm to the poetic text.
