Abstract

This study was  aimed to measure the quality of medical services provided in Nalut Central Hospital from the patients' point of view. The study began in January 2021 and continued until March at the same year. The study dealt with the variables represented in: gender, age group, nationality, educational level, department, hospital stay  and the number of  follow-up visits. The study also focused on studying each of the independent variables complying with responsiveness, tangibility, reliability, and empathy, assurance and their impact on the quality of health services outputs in Nalut Central  Hospital. The dependent variable is the patients' response to the questionnaire, which determined the level of quality of services. The study focused on the descriptive and analytical approach, whereby a restricted questionnaire was used through a random sample opinion poll of 83 patients. The response was analyzed using the weighted mean, weights percentages, and t-test at a significant level of (P <0.05). The results of the statistical analysis showed discrepancy in the dimensions of the quality of the health services provided in Nalut Central Hospital. The quality of services was evaluated from the patients ’point of view, which showed  quality with a medium degree for the dimension of responsiveness, tangibility, kindness, and empathy, assurance but reliability dimension was Weak. The results showed, in general, weakness in patients  nutritional planning and the lack  of computer systems patients follow up practice by the medical staff.
