The Availability of Digital Education Transformation Requirements at Higher Technical Institutes from the Perspective of Faculty Members: An Analytical Study of Al-Azizia Higher Institute of Science and Technology

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an urgent necessity to develop and modernize the educational process in higher technical institutes. Therefore, the researchers chose to address this topic in their research, as the problem of the study was around the question (to what extent are the requirements for digital transformation available in higher technical institutes?). In order to know the requirements, the researchers formulated a main hypothesis about the extent of the availability of the dimensions of digital transformation, which are: (Infrastructure and technology, human resources, digital content and curricula, policies and management). The study aimed to identify the levels of availability of requirements for the transition to digital education at the Azizia Higher Institute of Science and Technology. In order to achieve the research objectives and answer its hypothesis, the descriptive and analytical approach was used by preparing a questionnaire to collect data from the community consisting of faculty members at the Azizia Higher Institute of Science and Technology. The data obtained from the questionnaires distributed to the community were analyzed using some statistical methods in the (SPSS) program. The study concluded that the availability of all the requirements referred to in the study, namely (infrastructure and technology, human resources, digital content and curricula, policies and management), is low and weak.
