The Role of Digital Transformation in Improving the Efficiency of Libyan Medical Performance: A Field Study on a Sample of (Doctors, Nurses, Administrators, and Technicians) at Ali Omar Askar Hospital – Asbi‘a

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation on the efficiency of medical performance at Ali Omar Askar Hospital - Asbia, in light of the rapid changes witnessed by the global health sector. The study adopted a descriptive analytical approach and used a stratified random sample on a community of 300 workers. 180 questionnaires were distributed, of which 177 were returned, representing a return rate of 98.33%. The results revealed clear deficiencies in the technical infrastructure, weak digital integration, and a lack of human resources and digital training, which negatively impacted the efficiency of medical performance. The statistical analysis also demonstrated a significant correlation and influence between the dimensions of digital transformation and the efficiency of medical performance. The study recommended the need to develop the technological infrastructure, adopt a comprehensive digital strategy, enhance digital training, and integrate health systems to ensure improved quality of medical services.
