Leadership Style and Its Relationship with Job Satisfaction

This study aims to identify leadership styles through their examination, understanding, and analysis, as well as to explore the most prominent factors influencing job satisfaction from a theoretical perspective. It also seeks to draw the attention of administrative leaders in security organizations to the importance of balancing attention between work and employees in a subtle and effective manner in order to achieve job satisfaction and, consequently, ensure employees’ loyalty to their organizations. To achieve these objectives, the researcher adopted the descriptive–analytical approach, which focuses on description, understanding, and analysis. The study relied on the desk-based method for data and information collection, drawing on key theories, previous studies, and scientific articles in the field of management science. The findings revealed a clear positive relationship between leadership style and job satisfaction within security organizations. The results showed that the democratic leadership style has the greatest impact on achieving job satisfaction, due to its emphasis on employee participation in decision-making, the enhancement of human relations, and the promotion of a sense of belonging and organizational loyalty. The findings also indicated that the laissez-faire leadership style has a limited effect on job satisfaction, while the authoritarian leadership style is inversely related to job satisfaction, as it leads to lower satisfaction levels and negatively affects human resource stability. Furthermore, the study confirmed that successful management in security organizations depends largely on leaders’ understanding of employees’ behaviour as partners in the administrative process. Attention to the human element is considered a decisive factor in improving institutional performance efficiency and ensuring job stability and organizational loyalty.
